Geneseo Public Library District
Board of Trustees Meeting
April 8, 2019

The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in Foundation Room A at the library on Monday, April 8, 2019.  Bill Menendez called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.  Trustees in attendance were Anne Meyer-McCright, Paul Pardo, Ray Rogers and Karen Turner.  Deb Wyffels, Assistant Director, was also present.

Citizen’s Input   No citizens were present

Secretary’s Report   The minutes for the March meeting stand approved as printed.

Financial Report/Bills to Be Paid.  Anne made a motion to pay the bills, Paul seconded the motion, and the motion passed unanimously by roll call vote.

Library Director’s Report   Please refer to Claire’s written report. 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Photo Grant   Claire explained the Photo Grant.
 

NEW BUSINESS

Per Capita Grant  A copy of Jesse White’s letter, announcing that the library has received the Per Capita Grant for $18,291.25.      

New Members/Loyalty Oath  Bill Menendez and Anne Meyer-McCright were thanked for their service to the library.  Newly elected members Kim Reynolds and Carol Luciani were sworn in; Jani Klavohn was unable to attend the meeting.

Election of Officers  Ray Rogers was elected President, Karen Turner was elected Vice-President, Carol Luciani was elected Secretary and Lee Fluck was elected Treasurer.

Bank Signatures  Trustees were instructed to go to Central Bank to sign a signature card so they would be able to sign checks should they need to if the Treasurer is unavailable.

Library Statistics  Claire provided the Trustees with the monthly statistics of materials borrowed and they were very impressed.  It was suggested that The Republic be contacted and run them quarterly.  It was also suggested that they be added to the Library website.

Resignation of Assistant Director  A letter from Deb Wyffels was read. She is resigning as Assistant Director and will retire in a month.  She would like to work remotely on the web page.  The Board voted unanimously to allow this.

Adjournment   With no further matters before the board, at 7:28 p.m., the meeting adjourned.
