Geneseo Public Library District 
Board of Trustees Meeting
August 12, 2024 

The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in Foundation Room A at the library on Monday, August 12, 2024.  Board President Karen Turner called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m.  Members in attendance were Karen Cathelyn, Lee Fluck, Jim Henson, Janet Klavohn and Monica Vorac.

Citizen’s Input   No citizens were present. 

Secretary’s Report   The minutes from last month’s meeting stand approved as printed. 

Financial Report/Bills to Be Paid     Monica moved to pay the current bills.  Jim seconded the motion and all members in attendance voted “yes” by roll call vote.  Karen C. moved to approve the Financial Report. Jim seconded the motion and all members in attendance voted “yes” by roll call vote.   

Happenings at the Library       Several board members have terms that are expiring this year. Petitions will be available at the library on August 20.  Lee Calabria from IronClad IT has replaced the Circulation Desk computers and they are working just fine.  Project 7 was discussed and Karen C. made a motion to accept Lee’s proposal.  Monica seconded the motion and all present voted “yes” by roll call vote.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS 

Children’s Room    No information was provided tonight. 

Reading Garden     Architect Pat Mahar is working with Interstate Fence.   

Fence         Interstate Fence is due to start grading the area for the Reading Garden prior to installing the fence.
