Board of Trustees Meeting
January 8, 2024
The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in Foundation Room A at the library on Monday, January 8, 2024. Board President Karen Turner called the meeting to order at 6:27 p.m. Members in attendance were Karen Cathelyn, Lee Fluck, Jim Henson, Ann Lobdell and Monica Vorac.
Citizen’s Input No citizens were present.
Secretary’s Report The minutes from last month’s meeting stand approved as printed.
Financial Report/Bills to Be Paid Monica moved to pay the current bills. Jim seconded the motion and all members in attendance voted “yes” by roll call vote. Lee moved to approve the Financial Report. Karen C. seconded the motion and all members in attendance voted “yes” by roll call vote.
Happenings at the Library We received a total of $53,500 in grants and donations for the technology project.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Technology Update The projector works great and we no longer get robo calls!
Children’s Room An exploratory committee has been formed. A puzzle carrier, book shelf and interactive table have been purchased for this room.
NEW BUSINESS
Audit Dave Gosse from Odoni Partners LLC presented the Annual Financial Report. Karen T. moved to approve it, Karen C. seconded the motion and all members present voted “yes” by roll call vote.
New Board Member Jim Henson was sworn in.
Adjournment With no further business before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
