Board of Trustees Meeting
July 09, 2018

The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in Foundation Room A at the library on Monday, June 11, 2018.  President Bill Menendez called the meeting to order at 6:57 p.m., when enough board members were in attendance to make a quorum. Trustees in attendance were Christine Bergren, Holly McAvoy and Paul Pardo (and Bill Menendez). Deb Wyffels, Assistant Director, was also present.

Citizen’s Input   No citizens were present

Secretary’s Report   The minutes from last month’s meeting stand approved as printed.  A thank you letter from Rhonda Ludwig of the Geneseo Chamber of Commerce was read.

Financial Report/Bills to Be Paid.  The Financial Report was reviewed and will be filed for the auditors. Paul made a motion to pay the bills, Holly seconded the motion, and the motion passed unanimously by roll call vote.

Library Director’s Report   Please refer to Claire’s written report. 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Per Capita Grant   We received our first payment.  Claire directed the Board to review the following Internet sites:  https://dp.la   https://youtube.com/watch?v=twDQ7LJQ3yk and http://www.idaillinois.org in accordance with the Grant’s requirements.

NEW BUSINESS

Birdies for Charity   Claire reported four people have signed up for this.

Final Budget     The proposed budget has been available for the public to view for 30 days.  Paul moved that we accept it while Holly seconded the motion.  All in attendance voted yes.

Note:  Holly McAvoy turned in her resignation, and this was her last meeting.  The Board thanked her for her 11 years of service and her role in getting our new library built.  We wish her well for the future!

Adjournment   With no further matters before the board, at 7:43 p.m., the meeting adjourned.
