Geneseo Public Library District 
Board of Trustees Meeting 
November 13, 2023 

The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in Foundation Room A at the library on Monday, November 13, 2023. Board President Karen Turner called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Members in attendance were Lee Fluck, Janet Klavohn, Ann Lobdell and Ray Rogers. 

Citizen's Input  -   No citizens were present. 

Secretary's Report  - The minutes from last month's meeting stand approved as printed. 
Financial Report/Bills to Be Paid Ray moved to pay the current bills. Karen T. seconded the motion and all members in attendance voted "yes" by roll call vote. Ray moved to approve the Financial Report. Lee seconded the motion and all members in attendance voted "yes" by roll call vote. 

Happenings at the Library 

Children's bookends and an interactive coffee table will be added to the Children's Department. We received $5,004 for our e-rate grant. Donations were received from Warren Hadley $400 and Jerry/Jean Hahn $250. 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS 

Building  -  VerStraete Electric will fix the lights in the parking lot; they are dim.

Children's Dept  -  Ray gave an update on his calls, Ann will be on the committee. 

Technology  -  The Geneseo Foundation gave us $15,000 for the presentation equipment.

NEW BUSINESS 

Residency Requirement  - This item was discussed but no action was taken. 

Final Budget   -  Ann moved to accept; Janet seconded the motion. All members in attendance voted "yes" by roll call vote. 

Tax Levy Ordinance  -  Ann moved to approve; Karen T. seconded the motion. All members in attendance voted "yes" by roll call vote. 

Personnel Policy  -  Code of Conduct which was formally accepted into the Policy Manual. 

• There will be no meeting in December.

Adjournment  -  With no further business before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 7:32 p.m.
